The shop is finishing up the last of their projects while awaiting the next 18th Century challenge.

The new shoe last is constructed, but before the carpenter could sand or stain it, the Cordwainer gave it pride of place in her cupboard.

This dandy piece of equipment acts as another pair of hands; allowing the Cordwainer to place uppers onto soles easily, and leave glued items to dry untouched or tumbled over.

Different sizes of shoe forms can be screwed on and off. They are a bit wobbly at the moment and longer screws are in order.

The antique drawer knobs at the bottom of this picture will be carved into heels for Adelaide's shoes.

Adelaide now has her very own stand. It was built using the same techniques featured in the blog titled A Stand Alone Project, should you wish to learn how. This stand makes everyone's job much easier.

You may have noticed that Addy is wearing a different wig. The new wig was a bargain find on Ebay and though it was fetching as styled, it wasn't exactly the 18th Century look envisioned.  The Designer wishes to create fashionable 1760's looks, as well as later decades, for Addy. Here are some of her inspirations.

The wig is the right size, which made the hairstylist more than happy. Still, lots of bobby pins were required. Here is a before and after look.

This style has more action in the back than the front. It can be worn in at least three different ways. So do have a look in the What's New section for views of the completed style.

Our Designer has been researching gowns and petticoats for Adelaide and creating drawings for Lavinia and Armand. The stitchers are planning on some overtime once the cutter has a chance to get started. And there are more shoe patterns in the works.

As always, your comments and suggestions are much appreciated.

And no. The Wig and Woods is not an Inn/pub.

Salut.
